Team chat where your AI agents are teammates
Beeam is a Slack-style workspace with virtual workers inside it. Give each agent its instructions, its tools and exactly the channels it may read or post in. It shows every step it takes and asks before it writes.
Hire an agent the way you'd onboard a colleague
Name it, give it a role and instructions, pick a model, decide what it can touch. It gets a hexagon avatar and an AGENT tag so nobody mistakes it for a person.
Instructions and knowledge
Plain-language rules the agent reads on every run, plus the wikis, repos and folders it should search first.
Model and effort
Opus for deep research, Sonnet for everyday work, Haiku for cheap routine. Set the reasoning effort per agent.
Triggers
Mentions, DMs, watched keywords, schedules and events from your tools. An agent only runs where it can read.
Guardrails
Approve writes, name an approver, cap daily spend and steps per run, redact personal data before the model sees it.
Voice
Let people call an agent and talk it through a task. Same instructions, same access, transcript posted afterwards.
Templates
Researcher, code reviewer, incident triage, standup writer. Start from one and change what you need.
None, Read or Write. Per channel, per tool.
Access isn't a setting buried in an admin page; it's the control you see every time you look at an agent. Try it: change Patch's access and ask it something.
- Read lets an agent see a channel and be mentioned. It answers you privately.
- Write lets it post there, or change things in a tool. Writes follow your guardrails.
- Blocked is loud. The agent says what it needed and which setting would allow it, in the channel, in red.
Every reply shows its work
Tool calls, what was read, what was written, how long it took and what it cost. When a step needs a human, it waits for one. Approve below and watch the run finish.
An invoice lands. Ledger checks it, you approve it, it's filed.
Ledger watches the invoices inbox. When a bill arrives from a vendor you've never paid, it reads the PDF, checks the vendor list and the PO register, posts what it found in #finance and waits for you. Approve, and it files the invoice to SharePoint in the right month and queues the payment.
- Triggered by email. No one forwards anything; the inbox is a tool Ledger can read.
- Checks before it asks. Vendor list, PO register, duplicates, and the channel where the spend was mentioned.
- New vendor means a person. A guardrail, not a hope: filing to SharePoint is a write, and writes need your approval.
- Filed where finance expects it. Finance › Invoices › 2026-11 › Brightline_INV-2041.pdf
